National Laboratory of Virology,

University of Pécs

Pécs, Hungary

Fields of interest: biosafety, biosecurity, virology, ecology, statistics, field biology

BAVBD contribution: I would like to join the work of BAVBD primarily to support participating partners in laboratory-related activities from a biosafety and biosecurity perspective. This could include consulting, training, infrastructure design input, standard operating procedures development, risk assessments. In addition, I would be happy to contribute to BAVBD efforts in a supportive role involving field sampling, laboratory sample processing, and molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, sequencing, NGS). With several years of hands-on BSL-4 experience, I can also assist in high-containment lab workflows.

Alongside sample processing, I can contribute to BAVBD’s work with biostatistical analyses, including ecological data processing, experimental design support, and interpretation of complex datasets. Given my involvement in international biosafety initiatives and standard implementation (e.g., ISO 35001), I am also open to collaboration on regulatory harmonization and knowledge sharing between institutions.
