Contribution to BAVBD Mission:
I would like to collaborate with BAVBD in the field of Phishing and AI Model Protection in Bioinformatics. My expertise lies at the intersection of informatics and security, with a particular focus on safeguarding AI/ML systems used in disease surveillance and diagnostics against adversarial attacks.
Phishing Threats in Bioinformatics Systems – analyzing how phishing campaigns can compromise bioinformatics platforms and laboratory information systems and proposing mitigation strategies.
AI/ML Security – contributing to the design of protective measures for machine learning models applied in pathogen detection and epidemiological monitoring, ensuring resilience against model poisoning, prompt injection, and other adversarial tactics.
Integration with Biosafety and Biosecurity – exploring how digital security overlaps with biosafety protocols, ensuring that both technical and biological safeguards are aligned.
Knowledge Sharing and Training – offering workshops or academic contributions on secure deployment of AI tools in biosecurity contexts, with emphasis on awareness of adversarial risks.
Through this collaboration, I aim to strengthen the association’s mission by bridging bioinformatics, cybersecurity, and biosafety, ensuring that advanced technologies can be safely and reliably applied in disease diagnostics and surveillance.
