BAVBD contribution:

I am particularly interested in infectious diseases, with a focus on tick-borne diseases prevalent in our region. In our hospital, we routinely treat patients diagnosed with rickettsiosis and Lyme disease. However, we currently lack diagnostic tests for Rickettsia infections, and there is limited data on the percentage of ticks carrying pathogens in our area. These are important knowledge gaps I would like to help address through research and collaboration.
