Currently pursuing a PhD in microbiology, I work at a public health institute with a 135-year legacy (www.biocidi.org.rs), historically distinguished for its DDD (disinfection, disinsection, and deratization) measures. For over a decade, our work in the entomological laboratory has centered on vector monitoring and the molecular and biological diagnostics of vector-borne pathogens directly within vector populations.
In light of accelerating climate shifts that alter vector dynamics and disease transmission, my research focuses on analyzing surveillance data. By combining entomological laboratory work, vector monitoring, and epidemiological data processing, I aim to support data-driven vector control strategies across the region.
